Kelman, based near Pittsburgh in Glenshaw, will supply Labatt with its annual glass container requirements for its Brava brand in Brava isa Mexican-style beer that Labatf acquired in 2007. Kelman, a privately held company that operates what was formerlyt known as the GlenshawGlass Company, described the approvalp process for Labatt as intensive, takinfg nearly two years. “Becoming a qualifiedd supplier to Labatt is amongh the most significant achievements for a producer of glass containers,” said the company in a preparefd statement.
“This remarkable achievement is a testamentt tothe commitment, skill and dedication of the glasss makers at Kelman Bottlee working closely with the due diligence and purchasing professionalsw at Labatt throughout the approval Kelman didn’t divulge how many bottlesx it expects to produce for The company has already begun supplyinyg the bottles to which are now being filled with beer at the company’s Hamilton, Ontarip brewery.
Kelman operates in a variety of glasssproduction niches, producing glass containers for the food and beverager markets, decorative glass, and fine hand-made glass sold by The company group markets its glassware undere the brand names LE Smith Glass, Saint George Crysta and Glenshaw Glass Company, among others.
